BMC Hospital Systems/ Hainanese Delights, Koi Herbal stay unbeaten

DEFENDING champion Batch 1999-BMC Hospital Systems/ Hainanese Delights and Batch ‘80s/‘90s/2011- Koi Herbal chalked up separate wins to stay unbeaten in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association 14th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC Gym.
Batch ‘99 bagged its 22nd straight win dating back to the previous season by thumping Batch 1996-Blakeley’s Motorcare, while Batch ‘80s/‘90s/2011 secured its second consecutive win at the expense of Batch 1997-Solane iStyle, 73-65.
Mark Bukiron was again superb for Batch ‘99, leading the team with a game-high 32 points while adding 11 rebounds, four assists and a steal.
Earn Saguindel was also impressive as he tallied 17 points, eight rebounds, five assists and a steal.
Rex Allinson banged in 15 points, Rogelio Donayre Jr, scored 14 and Bryan Renejane had 10 points for Batch ‘96, which tasted its second loss in three games.
Paul Cabellon, on the other hand, helped Batch ‘80s/‘90s/2011 stay undefeated by scoring 15 markers.
Bryan Labus fired 17 markers—the lone double-digit scorer for Batch ‘97, which stumbled to its first loss after a 2-0 (win-loss) start.
