CEBU CITY, Philippines — A 60-year-old man is back in jail, on Friday, August 25, which is nearly a year and a half since he posted bail for visiting a drug den.

This time around, Ulysses Redoblado also known as “Tetet” was arrested and allegedly caught with P170,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Symwa, Barangay Day-as, Cebu City.

According to the Leia Alcantara, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) spokesperson, initial investigation showed that Redoblado was caught with 2 plastic packs believed to contain shabu which weighed 25 grams at past 4 p.m. on August 25.

Alcantara said that they had placed Redoblado under surveillance for at least two months before they conducted the operation.

She also described Redoblado as a person who could dispose 100 grams of suspected shabu in a week.

During the buy-bust operation on August 25, some 25 grams were taken from the suspect’s possession.

The illegal drugs confiscated from the suspect was said to have a market value of P170,000.

The buy-bust operation last Friday was a joint operation of PDEA-7, Naval Forces Central Visayas (Navforcen), and Cebu City Police Office’s Police Station 1.

The suspect was detained at the PDEA-7 detention center pending the filing of illegal drug charges.

Alcantara said that a case of selling and possession of illegal drugs would be filed against the suspect.
