The victim’s husband told police that his wife was doing the laundry while sitting beside the doorstep of their house when she was shot. He said that he was getting ready to sleep when the shooting happened.

The victim then allegedly started screaming for help, which prompted her husband to come to her aid. He then found his wife slumped on the floor with blood coming out from her chest, according to the report.

‘Accompanying an informant’

Further investigation of personnel from the Parian Police Station revealed that earlier that day, the victim accompanied a woman, a certain Jessa, to go the house of a neighbor, Mario Sena, to pawn a cellphone.

On the evening of the same day, the neighbor’s house was allegedly raided by authorities. Due to this, the man allegedly sent messages to the victim’s son, claiming that the raid was Lariba’s fault.

The man allegedly blamed Lariba for bringing the woman, who he believes was an informant, to their house.

The raid took place three hours before the shooting.

The victim’s body was brought to the Saint Francis Funeral Homes and will be subjected for an autopsy.

According to the police report, the investigating officer opted not to call for the assistance of the Scene of the Crime Operatives because the scene was already contaminated after the victim’s family tried to assist her.
