“It happened at Northern Tacloban City National High School (NTCNHS), wherein it was actually our first day of school intramurals. Actually ako yung organizer ng event na yun (Dancesport). Kaso, knowing na mag-sstart na ‘yung event by 3:30 PM tapos konti lang participants, tapos may isang team (Yellow Phoenix) walang entry sa Dancesport, yang dalawang bata ay under sa Yellow Team. Tapos naiisip ko na isali nalang silang dalawa para magkaroon sila ng entry,” he said.
(It happened at the Northern Tacloban City National High School (NTCNHS), wherein it was actually our first day of school intramurals. Actually I was the organizer of the event. But the event was to start at 3:30 PM and there were only a few participants, and there was one team, the Yellow Phoenix, who had no entry in Dancesport. Those two kids belonged to the Yellow Team. So I thought that I’d let them join so they would have an entry.)

Both Rodrigo and Rosit are under Docil in the Special Program in the Arts – Dance.
With no time to practice, the two kids just decided to give everyone a good laugh and entertain them not really thinking of making a good routine for the competition anymore.
Just a few minutes before the competition, Docil managed to teach both students the basics, just to give them a little background. But to his and everyone’s surprise, Rodrigo and Rosit had a different plan to make this their own show.
“Tapos ayon, since mag sstart na ng 3:30 PM, siyempre wala silang time mag practice. Pero tinuruan ko pa rin sila ng basic para kahit papano di sila masyadong nganga sa floor. So ayun na nga, nag start na ang event, and bigla lang nangyari ang lahat ng ‘yun,” Docil said.

(So there, since the event was supposed to start at 3:30 p.m., they had no time to practice. I just taught them some basics so they wouldn’t look bad don the floor. So when the event started, all these happened.)
Looks like their comedic skit paid off as they did not just entertain almost everyone in their school but also netizens from all over the world.
This proves that sometimes, improvizing can work wonders.
Good job kiddos!
