CEBU CTY, Philippines–A video showing kids sharing their food to a classmate is making rounds online.

The heartwarming viral TikTok video was filmed by Charisse Mae Saren of the Bukal Elementary School in Bukal, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.

The video captures a moment where a six-year-old student, Roi Pang-ot, was seen with just a container of rice during recess, while others enjoyed their meals.

Power of kindness

What followed was a beautiful testament to the power of kindness.

A fellow student noticed Roi’s situation and the kid didn’t hesitate to share his food with him. This simple act of generosity sparked a chain reaction, with more classmates joining in to offer their food to Roi.

“I was really impressed with him so I took a video because despite that situation he really persevered to go to school every day,” said Saren.

Saren told CDN Digital that Roi is the fourth among five children and is always very attentive in class.

This heartwarming video serves as a powerful reminder that kindness knows no boundaries and can be effortlessly shared, even among kids.

Today, we are reminded by kids how easy it can be to be kind and be a gift to others in simple ways we know we can.

“I am very happy because someone really cares about him and as their teacher, I am really proud of my students,” added Saren.

The video was uploaded on September 27 and already has 3.3 million views.
