Don Bosco rules BRO Nationals football festival

The Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) dominated the 4th BRO Nationals Football Festival after winning six titles over the weekend at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The Bosconians already had three titles under their belt last weekend after winning the under-seven, under-nine and under-15 divisions.

Yesterday, they put up another dominating performance by topping the under-16, under-eight mixed and under-18 boys’ divisions for a total of six titles.

They won the boys’ under-18 category after accumulating the most number of wins en route to having six points. Don Bosco beat fellow Bosconian team, Homes Boys DBTC Lilo-an FC, 1-0, in their last match.

In the boys’ under-16 division, Don Bosco also edged another Bosconian team, DBTC 2000, 3-2, to clinch the title.

In the under-eight mixed division, Don Bosco’s team 1 finished with a total of six wins to edge DBTC-A in the rankings and eventually snatch the title.

Meanwhile, the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) walked home with three titles. The Magis Eagles topped the the girls’ under-15 last weekend then bagged the under-12 mixed division and under-14 boys’ division titles yesterday.

ERCO FC B edged St. Theresa’s College (STC), 1-0, to dominate the girls’ under-18 division.

ERCO finished the elimination round with four wins while STC, whose players will man the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) football team, had two wins and a draw before making the final round.

Consolacion FC grabbed the under-10 mixed division title by beating SRFC.
