THE 2006 Fury put an end to the unbeaten run of the reigning champions 2011 Elevens as they eked out a 72-64 win in Division 3 action in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Conference Summer League over the weekend at the USC North Campus gym along Mango Avenue.

Jess Minoza and Jig Paul Morales tag-teamed all-game long to put down the Elevens as the former led the squad with 23 while the latter added 18 for good measure.

The Fury made its way to second with a 5-2 (win-loss) card while the Elevens, though still in first place, fell to 5-1.

In other games in the same division, the 2005 Chameleons registered their fourth win in six games with a 57-50 win over the 2003 Stallions.

The 2007 Dosmilsiete remained in fourth place after they edged the 2010 Pioneers, 80-77, to improve to 4-3.

The 2002 Vikings also broke out of their slump with a 74-66 win over the 2004 Rebels.
