CEBUANO guard Eliud Poligrates led a furious fourth period breakaway to help the Café France Bakers win over the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns, 92-78, in Game 2 of the semifinals series and secure their first finals berth on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City.

After a brief stint in the pros, the former Southwestern University Cobra connived with Centro Escolar University star Samboy de Leon to score 18 of the team’s 31 markers in the final canto to grab the win and advance to the championship round for the first time in the team’s history.

De Leon ended up with 23 while Poligrates finished with 22 markers.

The Bakers will now await the winner of the series between the Hapee Fresh Fighters and the Cebuana Lhuillier Gems.
