FUSION and Stay Clean forged a three-way tie at the top after they emerged victorious over their respective opponents in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Association 1st Davies Cup on Sunday at the CEC gym.

Fusion pummeled Acreex, 69-52, while Stay Clean outgunned the erstwhile league-leaders Polyfloor, 75-72, in overtime.

Fusion, Stay Clean and Polyfloor all share the lead in the standings with identical 5-3 (win-loss) records.

Point guard Ed Macasling led Fusion in scoring with 23 points while Julius Orit had 15. Neil Benedicto also flirted with a double-double as he had 13 rebounds to go with his eight markers.

Meanwhile, Mike Cinco torched Polyfloor’s defense with a whopping 41 points, which included some crucial free-throws in regulation that sent the game to overtime.

In the day’s other game, Aqua Gloss won via forfeiture over the Elastogel.
