A 26-year-old detainee escaped from the Sogod Police station detention cell last Friday after he was allowed to go out to throw garbage.
Jonalon Ebale, who was arrested last June 3 for illegal drugs, remains at large. He escaped by jumping over the six-foot fence of the Sogod Police Station.
A police report showed that PO1 Tirso Sol allowed Ebale out of the detention cell after he complained of having a bum stomach.
Ebale blamed the smell of the plastic of garbage inside the station for his condition and he asked that he dispose of the plastic bag outside so that he would feel better.
