All is set for the Siomai Festival Run slated Sept. 19 starting at Gaisano Capital in barangay Tisa Labangon, Cebu City.
The running event is organized by the Barangay Tisa Senior Citizens Association (BTSCA) with Jose “Joe” Deresas standing as race director.
The event, supported by the Barangay Tisa Council, is one of the activities lined up for the Siomai Festival, which runs from Sept. 18 to 27.
Association of Barangay Councils president and Tisa Barangay Captain Philip Zafra supports the activity and will be joining the run together with Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama, Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella and the rest of the Barangay Council of Tisa.
The proceeds of the race will be used to help fellow BTSCA members who are indigent.
The foot race will have 3-kilometer, 6K and 9K distances.
The 9K is open to all runners while the 6K is for executives. The 3K will have men’s, women’s and senior citizens divisions.
The early bird registration fee for the 3K is at P225, 6K at P270 and 9K at P315 inclusive of singlet, certificate, race bib and snacks. The early bird registration starts today and ends Aug. 31. The regular registration fee for the 9K is at P350, 6K at P300 and 3K at P250 until Sept. 18.
Entry forms are available at Tisa Barangay Hall, Philippine Sports Commission office at Cebu City Sports Center and Rudy Project at SM City Cebu.
