FORMER Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) veteran Fil-American Brandon Vera will fight for the inaugural One Championships’ heavyweight title match against unbeaten English MMA fighter Chi Lewis Parry at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in December.
One Championship 35: Spirit of Champions will serve as one of the biggest fight card to be promoted here in the Philippines this year following the first ever UFC Fight Night slug fest that took place last May.
Vera, who has a record of 13 wins with seven losses, made his One Championships debut last year by knocking out Igor Subora in the first round.
Parry, meanwhile, is unbeaten in six matches.
Vera, 37, is five years older than Parry with the latter having five first round stoppages since 2012. Vera had a 15-month lay off after leaving UFC as a heavyweight contender.
