Couple found dead inside home in Barili town
A couple was found dead in their residence in Barili town south of Cebu.
Neighbors and relatives of live-in partners Marcel Sipon and Rodelito Gorandoy said they heard gunshots at their home at past 8 p.m. following a heated argument between them.
This morning, Marcel’s brother, barangay councilman Rodolfo asked the police to escort him to his sister’s house after he suspected that something happened to the couple.
When they entered the house 7 a.m. today, they saw Maricel’s remains lying near the entrance with a gunshot wound in her head.
After searching the house, they found Gorandoy’s remains a few meters outside the house in barangay Tubod with a gunshot wound in his head and a .357 revolver.
Three empty shells remain inside the gun. They also found a .45 pistol in Gorandoy’s possession.
Marcel’s mother Liza Sipon went to their house last night to fetch the couple’s children during their argument. She said she advised the couple to settle their dispute peacefully.
