Illegal drugs worth P3.3 million were seized from an 18-year-old-man who was hired to deliver  packs of suspected shabu to a buyer in barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City yesterday noon.

Jovito Abella Apa-ap said he was paid P300 by a certain Joefel to deliver the items to  a man who turned out to be an undercover policeman.

Supt. Romeo Santander, chief of the City Intelligence Branch of the Cebu City Police Office, dismissed the courier’s claim of ignorance.

He said Apa-ap is a  runner of Joefel, the target of operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7), who escaped when they  tried to arrest him a few months ago.

Apa-ap unknowingly transacted with the police through a decoy  who ordered  P20,000 worth of shabu.

Apa-ap handed a big pack of suspected shabu  to the poseur-buyer. Two bags of  100 and 150 grams were recovered from  him,  police said.
