GET enough sleep.
Police issued this advice to drivers following a road accident in barangay Binabag, Bogo City, northern Cebu where a passenger bus collided with a Tamaraw FX early morning yesterday.
Romeo Zumbi, the 51-year-old barangay captain of Gaway-Gaway, San Remigio town, and his wife, Leonora, 65, were injured in the accident.
The accident happened when Conrado Vallesjo fell asleep on the wheel, causing the bus to swerve to the opposite lane where it collided with the Tamaraw FX driven by Zumbi, said PO3 Edwin Dignos of the Bogo City Police Station.
Police said rescuers pulled the couple out of the wrecked Tamaraw FX and brought them to a hospital.
Vallesjo surrendered to the police after the incident.
