CHANCES of domination for the Cebuanos in the sport of taekwondo in this year’s Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) meet slated Feb. 7 to  13 in Naga City will now be bigger.

This after powerhouse province Negros Oriental will no longer be under the jurisdiction of the CVIRAA since it now belongs to the newly created Negros Island Region.

Negros Oriental is a familiar tough foe for the Cebuanos in the taekwondo alongside neighboring province Bohol.

Philippine Taekwondo Association Region 7 Director Tony del Prado confirmed to Cebu Daily News about the change in the annual Palarong Pambansa qualifying tournament.

The Cebuanos are currently in the thick of training for the National Selection Tournament in Manila on Feb. 6 and 7.
