The wife of Vice Mayor Jonah John Ungab of Ronda town pleaded “not guilty” on accusations of hitting a female lawyer with a baseball bat on Wednesday.

Pearl Ungab was arraigned on charges of slight physical injuries before Judge Grace Veloso-Fernandez of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities.

She was assisted by her lawyer Arlan Richard Alvarez.

Pearl and lawyer Jiecel Tiu figured in a verbal confrontation in the parking lot of Centro Maximo where the lady lawyer holds office in February last year.

The wife suspected Tiu of having an affair with her husband, Vice Mayor Ungab—an accusation which the lawyer denied.
