THE THREE-TIME champions RC Cola-Army seeks its third straight win when it battles the New San Jose Builders today in the 2016 PLDT Home Bro Ultera Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference women’s volleyball tournament at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan City.

Action starts at 4 p.m. with the Lady Troopers looking to close their first round campaign on a sizzling note.

In the second game at 6 p.m., F2 Logistics and Foton will lock horns for their second win, knowing that the second round will get much tougher, especially with powerhouse Petron and Cignal joining the mix in this format patterned after the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Grand Prix.

After notching a pair of three-set victories over Foton and F2 Logistics, RC Cola-Army had solidified its reputation as the team to beat for parading a seasoned roster sprinkled with stars of the present led by a comely pair of attackers in Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis.

Although RC Cola-Army coach Kungfu Reyes remains persistent in his claim that they are still a work in progress, the Lady Troopers hardly showed traces of slowing down after cruising to an easy 25-22, 25-12, 25-19 win over the Cargo Movers over the weekend in Malolos City.
