Games today:

Cebu Coliseum
1:00 p.m. My Led Opto-CIT-U vs Tyron Properties-USPF
2:30 p.m. Cebu Landmasters-USC vs Mighty Sports-USJ-R
4 p.m. Phinma-SWU vs Worthy-UV

THE SOLO lead in the standings will be decided today as powerhouse teams and age-old rivals Phinma-Southwestern University (SWU) and Worthy-University of the Visayas (UV) tangle in the 8th Cesafi Partner’s Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

Game time is set at 4 p.m. with the winner of this tiff coming away as the lone unbeaten team in this preseason tournament.

The Green Lancers currently hold the top spot in the standings after pocketing their third win in as many games with a thrilling 58-56 win over the Mighty Sports-University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars on Thursday night.

The Cobras, on the other hand, are close behind at 2-0 (win-loss) following their 77-67 conquest of the Tyron Properties-University of Southern Philippines Foundation Panthers earlier this week.

An exciting backcourt battle will be expected in this match as the Cobras’ main man, Mac Tallo and veteran Jun Luz match wits with the Green Lancers’ battalion of guards led by Rey Suerte, Josue Segumpan and Sheldon Gahi.

In other games, the My Led Opto-Cebu Institute of Technology Wildcats aim for their second victory of the competition when they take on the winless Panthers in the opening game at 1 p.m. The reigning Cesafi champions Cebu Landmasters-University of San Carlos Warriors on the other hand, seek to steady their ship when they face off against the Jaguars.
