Indie film Hamog wins international award

INDEPENDENT film “Hamog” (Haze) won the Outstanding Artistic Achievement Golden Goblet award at the 2016 Shanghai International Film Festival.

Cinema One channel head Ronald Arguelles made the announcement on Sunday in a Facebook post.

Directed by Ralston Jover, ”Hamog” (literally “children of the dew”) film featuring Zaijan Jaranilla and Therese Malvar, tells the story of children loitering on the street, whom had resorted to petty crimes to survive a day living without guidance of parents and home to return to.

“Hamog” is also a finalist in the upcoming 8th Moscow International Film Festival in Russia, which will run from June 23 to 30. (Apple Mae Ta-as)
