A taxi driver was arrested by police after a woman passenger caught him masturbating while the cab was travelling towards her destination Tuesday afternoon in Lapu-Lapu City.

Myrna, not her real name, a resident of Barangay Pajo and working as a customer service staff at Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) flagged down a taxi at Barangay Pusok shortly before 3:00 p.m. and requested to be brought to Barangay Pajo.

While the taxi was travelling along airport road, she noticed that the driver kept looking at the rear mirror toward her and caught him playing with his sexual organ while driving.

Myrna, though frightened, took courage by discreetly taking a video of the driver while she was seated at the back.

Upon reaching Barangay Mactan and, upon seeing her police friend identified as PInsp. Emanuel Rabaya, who is assigned at the Regional Public Safety Batallion (RPSB) in Sibonga town, she instructed the driver to stop and right then and there, Rabaya introduced himself as police and arrested the driver.

The driver who, was later identified as Eugene Flores, 33, a resident of Sitio Katangkongan Barangay Basak, Cebu City refused the arrest and elbowed Rabaya but the police subdued him. He was caught with a knife inside his taxi unit.

Rabaya called police assistance from Mactan Police Station Station and turned over Flores to their custody. Flores was charged with Unjust Vexation, Direct Assault and Concealing of Deadly Weapon. Flores is currently detained at Lapu-Lapu City Police Headquarters holding cell.

Meanwhile, Myrna has uploaded  the video on Facebook so that the would be passengers of said taxi driver will be aware.
