THE MOVIE “The Achy Breaky Hearts” featuring the love triangle of Jodi Sta. Maria, Ian Veneracion and Richard Yap, earned P14 million on its first day.
The announcement was posted on the film on Star Cinema’s official Instagram last Wednesday night, June 29.
The film directed by Antoinette Jadaone tells the story of Chinggay (Jodi), a woman in her 30s who is desperate to find love after she remained single for seven years.
Chinggay then finds herself torn between two men: her ex-boyfriend Frank (Richard) who tries to win her back, and Ryan (Ian), a heartbroken man who finds a confidante in Chinggay.
“And I always believed na the success of this film will always come from the Lord. Kumbaga ‘yung project na ito, sinurrender ko na sa Kanya,” said Jodi.
