Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards
JUST a day after its digital release, the soundtrack for the film “Imagine You and Me” continues to make waves online.
A GMA News report stated that theme song of the first solo movie together of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, more popularly known as AlDub, claimed the top spots of iTunes PH.
On the top spot is the solo rendition of Maine, followed by her duet version with Alden. On top 3 is the movie soundtrack’s minus one version.
On Instagram, GMA Records congratulated the loveteam including Vic Sotto, who incorporated music to the lyrics written by Maine. The arrangement was done by seasoned singer/songwriter Jimmy Antiporda.
“Unang araw pa lamang sa digital stores, #1 kaagad ang official soundtrack ng pelikulang Imagine You and Me,” posted GMA Records on Instragram.
The film, helmed by Michael Tuviera is the first solo movie of Alden and Maine. It is their first anniversary offering to their fans. The AlDub loveteam was “accidentally” created during a July 16, 2015 episode of the noontime show, “Eat Bulaga” featuring Alden and a new character Yaya Dub portrayed by Maine. A splitscreen “kilig” moment between the two started what would later become known as “Kalyeserye.”
Shot in Como and Verona in Italy, “Imagine You and Me” will open on July 13 in cinemas nationwide. (Apple Mae Ta-as)
