RC Cola Army still perfect in PH SuperLiga

THE RC COLA Army Lady Troopers kept their immaculate record intact as they handed Petron Tri-Activ Spikers their first loss of the season with a 25-22, 25-23, 25-11 decision yesterday in the Philippine SuperLiga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

With the victory, the Lady Troopers gained a share of the lead with F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the standings with identical 4-0 (win-loss) cards.

After a close first two sets, the Lady Troopers took good care of business in the third as they displayed a sizzling combination of power, strength and guile to edge out the Tri-Activ Spikers, 25-11.

Jovelyn Gonzaga led the offense for the Lady Troopers with 15 markers and two blocks while Rachel Anne Daquis and Honey Tubino chipped in 10 and nine points, respectively.

Meanwhile, Mary Palma and Francis Molina combined for 17 points for the Tri-Activ Spikers, who suffered their first loss in four games.
