THE 2008 Flyboys continued to soar high as they ended up with the best record in Division 3 after claiming a pair of dominant victories in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Conference Sinulog Homecoming Cup last weekend at the USC North Campus gym.

First, the Flyboys scuttled the 2004 Rebels, 81-62, behind a balanced attack that had crafty guard Carl Miko Santos and bulky big man Don Adlawan lead the squad with 15 points each.

Then, they finished the weekend off with a 90-79 win over the 2003 Stallions. Adlawan had his way down low and finished with a team-high 20 while Santos backed him up with 18.

The Flyboys finished the elimination round with a 7-1 win-loss card. Batch 2004 fell to 2-5 while 2003 remained winless in seven outings.

In other games, the defending champions 2011 Elevens claimed a share of second place after they bested the gritty 2014 Underdogs, 69-64.

Prince Malana led the way for the Elevens with 17 points while Arsenio Uy chipped in 16. Dave Guardiario also added 13 of his own as Batch 2011 tied the 2007 Waybus for second place in the standings at 5-2.

The 2006 Fury climbed up to third place with a 69-63 win over the 2010 Pioneers. The Pioneers bounced back as they blasted away the 2005 Chameleons, 69-57.
