Country’s best bowlers to vie in Sinulog Open

MORE than a hundred bowlers have already signed up for the 18th Sinulog Open National Tournament slated January 23-29 at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

Organized by Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA), the tournament has attracted 136 bowlers coming from 30 teams.

Defending Masters’ event champion Edwin Perey of Cavite South Bowling Association (CASBA) is expected to have his hands full in his campaign as members of the Philippine national team players and Philippine National Youth team for bowling will be seeing action.

Also expected to put up a tough stand are participants from Team PRIMA Past and other players from Alabang, Bacolod, Baguio, Dagupan, Dapitan, Davao, Iloilo, Imus, Lipa, Magallanes, Makati, Mandaluyong, and Quezon, said BTA President Bel Suelto.

Also joining in the tournament are the country’s bowling legends Bong Coo and Paeng Nepomuceno.

Winning bowlers in the Masters, team, doubles, singles and all events will receive cash prizes.
