Demecillo brothers fight separate opponents today

THE Demecillo brothers, Carlo and Kenny, will face separate foes in fights abroad today.

The younger Carlo, 21, the ace fighter of Big Yellow Boxing Gym, will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia super bantamweight belt against defending champion Ruben Manakane of Indonesia in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The 25-year-old Kenny, on the other hand, of the Omega Boxing Gym, will fight Russian Vyacheslav Mirzaev in a 10-rounder non-title fight in Anapa, Russia.

Carlo sports a record of 10 wins (four knockouts), four defeats and zero draws while Kenny has a 13-4-2 (7KOs) record.

Carlo is on a four-fight winning streak and won the Philippines Visayas Professional Boxing Association bantamweight title in the process.
