A 19-year old girl was arrested after an entrapment operation due to swindling on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect identified as Roselyn Inoc from Sitio Sto. Niño, Banilad, Mandaue City, was presented to the members of the media on Thursday morning.

Police Superintendent Ryan Devaras, chief for Investigation, Detection and Management Branch (IDMB) in Cebu City, said Inoc allegedly claimed that she was endorsed by GMA-7 anchor Bobby Nalzaro to seek help from Kamputhaw Barangay Captain Reponio Lequigan for her father.

“She said that her father was sick and later died. Estimated amount that she already received as help through the barangay captain was around P60,000,” Devaras told the repoters Thursday morning.

The entrapment operation happened on Wednesday at Burger King in Barangay Kamputhaw with the help of councilor Ronald Anthony Librando who prepared P2,000 for the entrapment operation.

Inoc is currently detained at Cebu City Police Office (CCPO). Appropriate charges will be filed against her today.
