Cops nab 14 people in 6 drug operations in Lapu, Mandaue

POLICE in Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue cities arrested 14 persons and confiscated suspected illegal drugs worth at least P160,000 in six separate buy-bust operations on Thursday.

The biggest haul came from the D.M. Dimataga St., Barangay Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu City operation at 2 p.m. where police arrested Henry Poliran, Concepcion Frias and Lolita Frias.

Chief Insp. Gifter Sucalit, Lapu-Lapu City Intelligence Branch chief, said they also recovered 15 sachets and four medium-sized packs of suspected shabu worth at least P118,000.

The other three separate operations led by Sucalit, Pusok police chief Wayne Magbanua, and Marigondon Police chief Jimmy Fortes in Barangays Pusok, Babag, and Marigondon also yielded suspected illegal drugs worth P44,988 and led to the arrest of Carlos Pahugot, Mark Anthony Gasmin, Verjus Benzi, Rowena Garcia, Janlendyl Ponce, Allan Quilario, Andrew Fundador, a 17-year-old boy and Bryan Seville.

In Mandaue City, police arrested Bimbo Retuya and Bryan Roma in two separate buy-bust operations in Barangay Tipolo and Barangay Bakilid. Police recovered eight sachets of suspected shabu in the operation.
