To augment the defense of the city’s police force in carrying out the campaign against illegal drugs, the Police Regional Office 7 turned over additional police cars and firearms to the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Tuesday.

“This is to help our Cebu City police in increasing their advantage in combat operations and intelligence monitoring at the height of our campaign against illegal drugs,” Police Regional Office Chief Supt. Noli Taliño said in his speech during the ceremony.

Taliño led the turnover of five units of light transport vehicles from Camp Crame, ten M4 rifles and 30 magazines with 3,600 ammunitions. All these were received by CCPO director Sr. Supt. Joel Doria.

“This is a good sign because it shows the support of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to the Cebuano policemen,” Doria said.
