ASPA and the Canizares Architects scored separate victories in the 1st URBAN Basketball League-Island Premium Paints Squad Cup 2016 last weekend at the City Sports Club Cebu basketball courts.
ASPA leaned on Arnold Quilaton to take down T-United, 95–68. Quilaton waxed hot from beyond the arc and finished with 31 points.
Canizares Architects, on the other hand, blasted Kaixon, 92–72, behind Vince Canizares’ finished 27 points, 20 rebounds and three steals.
In other matches, Princess recovered from its opening-day loss by beating the Oasis Ball Club, 87–76.
Barn Ronquillo tallied 21 points to lead Fighter Wine past the RNK Builders, 76–73, while the Young Guns edged Veco, 61–58. The Rare Kicks Cebu also came out victorious over the LC Boyz, 76–68.
The Royal Brothers also blasted the Renegades, 66–42, while Alpine 101 nipped the Junkies, 101–93.
