LAPU-LAPU City Hall received a list of LPG outlets that hold valid Standards Compliance Certificate (SCC) from the regional Department of Energy (DOE-7).

Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza said the list will serve as basis for monitoring those selling refilled butane canisters.

She said some LPG outlets sell refilled butane canisters that are already banned in Lapu-Lapu City due to a recent ordinance.

Saul Gonzales, chief of the regional DOE’s Energy and Industry Management Division said they don’t issue SCCs to LPG outlets that sell refilled butane canisters.

Radaza said the police will visit LPG outlets soon.
