Fire investigators placed at P150,000 the damage wrought by the fire that hit Sitio Nawanaw, Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City earlier today, the city’s top fire official said.

Sparks from an ongoing welding works at Abrea’s shop triggered the fire, which went on to spread to an adjacent surplus shop owned by Franklin Olair.

The fire alarm was received at 9:45 a.m. and was controled at 10:17 a.m.
