Suba Basbas FC shocks USC-BED in Aboitiz soccer
GERRY Bonghanoy scored three goals yesterday, leading the Suba Basbas FC to a, 3-1 upset over favored University of San Carlos-Basic Education (USC-BED) in the under-11 mixed division of the ongoing 18th Aboitiz Football Cup at the PAREF Springdale football pitch.
Mark Steven Pangindian was the lone scorer for USC-BED.
In the other under-11 mixed match, Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) Team A humiliated Canduman FC, 23-0; DBTC B overpowered Cebu International School (CIS), 16-0, while host team, PAREF Springdale FC crushed Singapore FC, 16-0.
In other games, Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) lost to Lahug FC, 0-8; Guardian Strikers FC won over Kid United, 2-1; Consolacion FC stunned Warshocks FC, 2-0 and Giuseppe FC roouted Lilo-an Atlitico, 8-0.
At the DBTC football field in Barangay Punta Princesa, the host team scored two wins. DBTC-B battered Consolacion FC, 6-1 while DBTC-A won by default over Suba Basbas.
CIS also won over SHS-AdC, 9-1, while Giuseppe FC manhandled University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) A, 15-0. Canduman dumped USJ-R TeamB, 16-1.
