Joseon Motors Company Inc. opened the first full-service SsangYong dealership in the Visayas last Saturday.
The dealership will be known as SsangYong Cebu and it is located at 66 Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City. It is the second dealership of SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines in the country and the first in the Visayas-Mindanao area.

The new dealership features a showroom that can accommodate up to six vehicles. It also has a customer lounge, an accessories counter and a six-bay working area to cater to preventive maintenance service, vehicle repair jobs, and paintworks for SsangYong vehicles.

Aside from servicing its existing vehicle lineup, the service area will also provide maintenance and repair services to previous generation SsangYong models sold prior to the launch of the dealership.

Among those present during the launching were Cherrey Lou Villaester, Marketing and PR of SsangYong Philippines, and Dave Macasadia, managing director of SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines, exclusive distributor of SsangYong vehicles in the country.

“We believe that Cebu has a progressive car industry,” Villaester said. “Our products are perfect for Cebuanos. We are an innovative car brand.”

One of the vehicles of SsangYong is the Tivoli subcompact SUV, which was nominated in the 2016 and 2017 World Car of the Year.

Other SsangYong vehicles available are the 7, 9 and 11-seater Rodius, the compact SUV Korando and the diesel, long body variant of the Tivoli – the Tivoli XLV.

“We believe that SsangYong products are fit for unique and stylish Cebuano families,” SsangYong Cebu managing director Marco Borromeo said.

Aside from offering different kinds of vehicles to Cebuanos, SsangYong officials are also confident of the dealership’s after sales service.

“SsangYong Cebu can provide the highest service quality for its customers, especially in the Visayas and Mindanao areas,” said Borromeo.

Macasadia said SsangYong customers will receive top-notch customer service because of Joseon Motors Company Inc.’s strong commitment to the Korean automotive giant.

“I am certain, with SsangYong Cebu, our customers’ SsangYong vehicles will be taken care of with the highest level of expertise and satisfaction,” Macasadia said.

SsangYong is considered as the fourth largest South Korean automobile manufacturer. It re-entered the Philippine market last April.

SsangYong Philippines started its showroom operations in June 2016 in Manila. Two more full-service SsangYong dealerships are scheduled to open in Luzon and Mindanao.

The Cebu dealership may be contacted via landline at 2310573, 2310574, 2322159 or via mobile numbers 0917 303 4688 and 0922 823 1357.
