THE FACE behind the mask of Lilasari has been revealed.
Diana Zubiri, the original Sang’gre Danaya of “Encantadia” in 2005, is now part of the growing cast of Encantadia 2016. She joins fellow original cast Sunshine Dizon, then Sang’gre Pirena and now playing the role of Adhara.
Last Tuesday, Adhara’s ally Lilasari, a new character introduced in the requel, was finally unmasked.
In the episode #MukhaNiLilasari, Adhara destroyed the mask of the mysterious character with the powerful Kabian sword stolen from Cassiopeia, who is played by actress Solenn Heussaff. The mask was given by Cassopeia to Lilasari to protect those who see her face from turning into stone.
“Yung preparation ko it’s more of physical yung una. Syempre kailangan kong magpapayat, kailangan kong bumalik sa dati kong figure dahil syempre lalabas na naman ako sa TV. At kailangan ko ring maging fit so nag-try din akong bumalik sa arnis lesson at saka sword lesson,” Diana said.
Diana is the sixth cast member from the original version to make an
appearance in Encantadia 2016. The others are Dingdong Dantes, Neil Ryan Sese, Cheska Inigo, Ryan Eigenmann and Sunshine.
Meanwhile, Iza Calzado, who played Sang’gre Amihan, and Karylle
Padilla, who played Alena, are pursuing their respective careers in rival network ABS-CBN.
