Baby Jaguars take third place in Cesafi boys volleyball

Last year’s champions University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Baby Jaguars survived the University of Cebu (UC) Junior Webmasters, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23, to finish third place in the Cesafi boys’ volleyball tournament Friday morning at the University of San Carlos (USC) Main gym.
USJ-R, which took off to a hot start in the season by winning all of its four elimination round assignments, suffered a meltdown in the playoffs after losing all three games in the semifinals to settle for the battle-for-third match.
The victory was sweet revenge for the Baby Jaguars, who absorbed a 25-18, 18-25, 25-18 defeat to the Junior Webmasters during the semis round.
