Woman arrested in drug bust; P32M worth of shabu seized

CEBU CITY–Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7) arrested a 28-year-old woman and seized P32-million worth of shabu in a drug bust inside her condomonium unit in Sitio Banawa, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City on Tuesday afternoon.
Maria Del Mar, an alleged bigtime drug pusher, is facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002, particularly for selling illegal drugs.
The offense is non-bailable.
PDEA-7 spokesperson Leia Albiar said Del Mar sold a pack of shabu to an undercover PDEA agent.
When the transaction was completed, she was immediately arrested by the other operatives who were deployed in the area past 3 p.m.
Inside her room were about two kilos of shabu valued at P32 million, Albiar said.
Del Mar is currently detained at the PDEA-7 stockade.
