CEBU Gov. Hilario Davide III thanked the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) for facilitating the approval of the P9.2 billion international port project in Consolacion town.

Davide said the international port project in Consolacion will decongest Cebu City’s ports and generate employment in Consolacion and neighboring towns and cities like Mandaue City.

But Davide admitted there’s a downside to this such as traffic congestion.

“But I understand padak-an mana ang kalsada diha (the road will be widened),” the governor said.
