A MORE visually stunning presentation is in store for those who will watch the Sinulog presentation at the Cebu City Sports Center in January next year.

Sinulog Foundation executive director Ricky Ballesteros said construction of the stage started last week and will end on the first week of January.

The Sinulog Grand Parade and presentations are scheduled on the third week of that month.

“The backdrop of the stage will be geometrical design. I can’t give the specifics yet because we started on the platform. The construction already started last week and by January 6, hopefully we can start using the stage,” Ballesteros told reporters yesterday.

Ballesteros said they decided to experiment on geometrical designs since they wanted to try something new after using a flat stage in the past few years.

About 10 LED walls of different sizes will serve as backdrops in panoramic, vertical and horizontal designs.

Ballesteros said this setup will encourage the choreographers to be more creative in their presentation./USJ-R Intern John Carlo Villaruel
