THE PANDAS banked on a balanced scoring to defeat the Stallions, 79–76, in the inaugural season of the Elite Basketball Club Talisay last Sunday at the Vista Grande Gym.
Sean Povadora scored 19 while Jonathan Adlawan and Dharryl Balabas added 17 and 16, respectively, for the Pandas, which overcame the 33-point performance of the Stallions’ Prince Malana.
In the second game, former Southwestern University skipper Mark Panerio tallied 25 and Gabriel Estores added 13 as the defending Elite Basketball Club Cebu champions Panthers beat the Cobras, 77–71.
Jefford Aldave spearheaded the Cobras with 25 markers.
Meanwhile, the Dragons are also off to a winning start as they escaped powerhouse Falcons, 56–53.
Renz Tayong carried the offensive load for the Dragons with 17 points.
The Falcons, on the other hand, were led by Joirene Salcedo’s 12 markers.
The league is still organized by Run Jump Shoot Events and presented by Tough Gear Sportswear.
