THE BULLDOGS and the Mustangs stayed ahead of the pack as they beat separate foes in the Cebu Weekend Basketball Club last weekend at the City Sports Club Cebu basketball courts.

The Bulldogs ripped apart the Bears, 73-50, with Ralph Belarmino scoring 23 points with four steals.

The Mustangs, on the other hand, crushed the Pandas, 94-72, as Borgy dela Cruz fired 19 points and had two blocks.

Both the Bulldogs and the Mustangs now own identical 9-1 (win-loss) records.

In other games, the Roosters remained within striking distance of the leaders with a 70-40 rout of the Dragons for an 8-2 record.

The Toros also spoiled the incredible one-man show of Jig Paul Morales after they beat the Tigers, 105-91. The Mantis and Penguins raised their records to 6-4 as the former beat the Hogs, 93-73, while the latter bested the Enrico Llanto-led Scorpions, 72-62.
