STANDARDS FOR OFFICIALS

Upon learning that President Rodrigo Duterte will appoint barangay officials and postpone the barangay elections anew, a broadcaster said whoever will be appointed should be people with integrity and no links to illegal drugs.

“Di ta mopasar ning standard kay daghan man tang babaye (We won’t qualify because we have lots of women),” the broadcaster commented.

PICTURES TAKEN

While David Lim Jr. was at the courts to post bail yesterday, several court employees were seen taking pictures of him from afar.

Some were overheard saying, “Guapo man diay ni si David Lim (David Lim is handsome),” as he sat quietly during the entire proceedings and smiled shyly at those who greeted him.

‘LOOK FOR OTHER NEWS’

Someone close to David Lim Jr. suggested to reporters that they should look for other news items instead of focusing on him.

“Wala na gyud moy laing issue? Pangita mo og laing balita (Don’t you have other issues? Why don’t you look for other news),” he said as he shoved a journalist who tried to take photos of David Lim Jr. behind bars.
