WITHDRAW NOW

A PUBLIC official was talking to reporters when his assistant walked in and handed him the item he requested.

The official told his assistant to get his ATM card from his wallet, remembering that it was payday.

“Please withdraw the amount from my ATM now because I might be victimized by skimmers,” he said in reference to the recent spate of ATM thefts.

CHILL AT THE MALL

A REPORTER went to a government office to have some documents processed, and he waited for about an hour before asking the secretary about his papers.

To his disgust, the secretary told him that they could not process his papers since the one in charge was not around.

Seeing the reporter upset, the secretary advised him to go to the malls where their office is also processing documents.

After looking at the office’s decrepit surroundings, the reporter admitted she had a point.

STUMBLING BLOCK

WHEN asked in an open forum whether he would run for a local post in the 2019 elections, a high-profile official refuted the speculation.

He then ranted about the incumbent official, whom he considers to be a stumbling block to development in Metro Cebu.

“That’s the problem with too much politics. I’m sick of it,” the official said, drawing applause from some and raised eyebrows from the others in the audience.
