IN the hopes of rediscovering the form that made it the most dominant beach volleyball team in the UAAP, the National University (NU) men’s beach volleyball team will conduct a tryout today in Liloan, Cebu.
The Bulldogs who dominated the sands in winning the 2013, 2014 and the 2015 UAAP beach volleyball titles, has failed to make the finals in the last two seasons of the league. Today, they hope to unravel the next big Cebuano hitter.
“We are looking for players na may capacity talaga sa paglalaro ng beach volleyball at may height,” said Vel Verayo who was the architect of the first ever grand slam in UAAP beach volleyball.
Verayo also encouraged the indoor players to participate in the tryouts as they are likely to make the NU Bulldogs indoor squad if they can show that they are a “dual player.”
The tryout which is open to everyone is slated at 8 a.m. Interested participants may contact Verayo at (0915) 746 1612.
