UNLIKE most badminton tournaments, the Drop 9 Quarterly Tournament held last June 10 at Metro Sports Center in Lahug went relatively smooth with efficient match transitions.
Christian Tumulak and Gersam Lopez emerged the biggest winners of the tournament when the pair ruled the centerpiece Level E category, defeating the younger Mike Maratas and Josephus Patalinghug. Third place went to Carlo and Russell.
In the Level F division, Raye Castañares and partner, Shane pulled through to grab the championship trophy against Fausto Bergantin Jr and Olive Borromeo. Ian Comparativo and Nicole Recto settled for third place.
In Level G, Chris Lim and Jas del Mar outlasted Joseph Gotual and Sam Tibon in the final. Christian Sasil and Jeffrey Dadol finished third.
