Fifty years after they first set up their motorcycle business in Mandaue City, the Norkis Group will invest P6 billion to develop a cyberpark that’s projected to add 38,000 jobs in the city.

Dr. Norberto B. Quisumbing, Norkis Group of Companies chairman, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes and DEI Properties, Inc. chairman Danilo E. Ignacio presented the project to Cebu media in a press conference held at the Regency Crest.

Quisumbing said his company decided to develop the 2.8 hectares property along A.S. Fortuna to help fuel the city’s economic growth.

“This is where we started and we will continue to pour in more investments here,” he said, adding that he dedicated this project to his wife Britta who recently passed away.

The group engaged the development management services of DEI Properties, Inc. to manage the development of the project called Norkis Cyberpark. The Norkis Cyberpark will have five buildings that will offer office spaces for outsourcing companies.
