Salomon XTrail at Foressa Trails on October 15

OUTDOOR junkies have something to look forward as the Salomon XTrail Race Pilipinas 2017 will be held in Cebu on Oct. 15 at the Foressa Trails in Barangay Cansomoroy in Balamban.

This race will be part of the grand opening of the Foressa Trails, a new outdoor destination developed by the AboitizLand.

Considered as the biggest trail running event in the country, the Salomon Xtrail Race Pilipinas will be offering 21-kilometer and 11k distances along the unspoiled lush green terrain of Barangay Cansomoroy.

This will be the first time Cebu will be hosting the Salomon race, which is being held annually since 2010.

Last July, the Salomon XTrail Pilipinas main event was held at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

During the launch of Foressa last Sept. 15, organizers headed by Primer Group of Companies’ Cyrel Canedo and race director Larry Honoridez of Pacgear Adventure Outfitter, said only 250 to 300 runners will be accommodated to ensure a quality race.

Registration is pegged at P700 for the 11k and P1,200 for the 21k.

The registration fee includes a singlet, bib, refreshments and a meal.
