DRIVER VS CABBIE

Netizens were quick to defend the taxi driver who got assaulted by a motorist in an October 17 road rage incident along Pope John Paul II Avenue in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

Ponce Salvador Dumadag wrote, “Even if it was the taxi driver’s fault for attempting to overtake, it can never be justified how you went wild and destroyed his vehicle. He shouldn’t have driven a car when he’s ill-tempered.”

Olrac Sitnes said, “It is very clear in the video footages that it was the fault of the car driver. Road rage is road rage. The taxi driver didn’t show anything violent even if you kept banging his vehicle. The video alone is more than enough.”

Helen Rizarri said, “It doesn’t matter who triggered who. The car driver should have not act wildly and threatened the taxi driver. If you’re not at fault, why aren’t you showing up?”

Pacifico Pacifico, meanwhile, gave a short message to the suspect. “Don’t make things worse. Just surrender.”
