TUBURAN Mayor Aljun Diamante plans to file a complaint against the administrators of Facebook page Cebu Flash Report after it allegedly posted a report on Saturday about a bodyguard who was arrested for indiscriminate firing in Barangay Mabolo in Cebu City alluding to be linked to the mayor.

Diamante said that the alleged CFR post stated that the Tuburan mayor’s bodyguard was arrested for indiscriminate firing in Cebu City.

Diamante was referring to the arrest of Rey Isidro Arban, 40, of Iloilo City, who claimed to be the bodyguard of defeated mayoralty candidate, Daphne Lagon.

Lagon is contesting Diamante’s win with the Commission on Elections, a few months ago, declaring Lagon as the winner of the recount. However, Diamante has managed to get a temporary restraining order which means that he is still the Tuburan mayor.

Arban who was detained at the Mabolo police precinct, could not present a license for his .45 caliber pistol but only a permit to carry a firearm.
Diamante said that Municipal Administrator Rowena Burnea of Tuburan town had already drafted the letter addressed to CFR.

Aside from the planned complaint that Diamante intends to file against CFR, the Lapu-Lapu City government is also readying the complaint against the CFR administrators for posting a bomb hoax online.

Lapu-Lapu City Attorney, lawer Yuri Beluan, said that there is now a resolution authorizing Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza to file the case.

Beluan, however, said that he was yet preparing the documents needed to file the case after he was instructed to do so.
